On February 18, 2008, GTZ-PROGRESS and Asda Ltd., a leading retail brand in the UK, launched an initiative called the Productivity and Social Enhancement Project (PSEP). This initiative is a private public partnership (PPP) and works with 6 garment manufacturers who supply to Asda Ltd. The aim of the project is to increase the productivity of the factories. A fair share of the productivity gains will be shared with the workers. |
